In a cost-of-living crisis, we know that every penny counts—especially for those on a fixed income. In 2023, Dylan worked with Councilors Gilman and Grow to adopt the Senior Tax Work-Off Program—a way for our seniors to volunteer in the city and receive an abatement toward their property taxes.
With recent surges in antisemitism and hate, both here and across the country, it is important for our community to say: hate has no home here. In 2023, Dylan brought forth a proclamation endorsing the working definition of antisemitism established by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, which, with collaboration from Temple Ahavat Achim and the City Council, passed in Spring 2024.
As one of the top concerns heard in Ward 2, Dylan has worked with businesses, residents, and community leaders to help address parking constraints. While there is still more work to do, Dylan has continued to work on improving and expanding parking opportunities through legislation and advocating for common-sense solutions.
Gloucester is home to many different people who are deeply part of the social fabric of our community. In 2024, Dylan filed a Proclamation declaring September 15–October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrating the rich history and invaluable contributions of our Latino community.
Veterans are an integral part of our community, having bravely served both our country and fellow citizens. As a community, we must continue to support them long after their service. In 2024, Dylan helped adopt the Veteran Tax Work-Off Program, allowing veterans to volunteer in the city and receive an abatement toward their property taxes. In 2025, Dylan introduced legislation in 2025 to adopt a portion of the HERO Act, 22J, allowing veteran homeowners to receive a property tax exemption of up to 100%.
Last month, I announced my candidacy for reelection to Gloucester City Council - because we are not done yet!
Together, we have tackled parking issues, fixed potholes, and worked to make Gloucester more affordable for our most vulnerable neighbors. There is still so much more to do - and I am ready to continue fighting for Gloucester!
